Persona? Persona, Persona, Persona-Persona.

Helloooo!  Real life exploded for several months, but I am back for the most part, and just as much in love with Persona as ever.  (Though my game's been stuck at January 2nd since....April of this year?  Sigh.)  Fear not – I have been toiling during my absence, just exceedingly slowly.  And I shall be posting a new story in a day or so!

Some facts about the new story:
1.  It is not the final chapter of Diverted.
Um, sorry about dragging that one on so long.  I have not abandoned it.

2.  It is not "the bunny."
Oh god, the bunny.  It was supposed to be fluff.  It is now fluff of epic proportions, as well as the most ornery thing ever.  Grr.  I hope to beat it into submission someday soon...and post it in like twelve separate pieces, because it's THAT LONG.

3.  It only took A WEEK.
 I can’t tell you how exciting it is to write something straight through so quickly.  It’s still over 5000 words (short in my book I tell you!), but it was so nice to have a simple, straightforward idea that didn’t blossom into something knotty and complicated.  Not that I don’t like knotty and complicated…you know, I kinda think that’s all Akihiko’s fault.  He gets involved, boom, everything gets complicated.  And on that note… 

4.  It stars Junpei.
Not only do I mean that it's J/M instead of A/M, it actually stars Junpei.  This came out of left field for me, cos I thought everything I ever wrote would be from Minato's POV...but Junpei totally took over and was a blast to work with.  ::pets the Junpei muse::  We shall have to see what happens with you in the future, little one.

So I'd determined Part 7 would be the ending of Diverted, but I hadn't worked out all the details.  (Heh, was gonna say "kinks", but that perhaps implies more than I meant.)  Need to plan carefully after all — the last chapter has to go out with a bang!  (Dammit, accidental innuendos left and right!)

Then I got bunnied.  A bunny with nasty claws that hooked in and refused to let go.  A very threatening bunny that insisted on be written immediately.  I've also learned that PWP is NOT in my vocabulary, because this baby's currently at 6500 words.  (And at the speed I write?  That's some kind of record.)

So I'm posting to apologize for leaving you-all hanging!  I thank everyone for the comments -- it's wonderful to be in demand!!

I will also say that the new story is less with the angsting, more with the seducing, of which I presume you all approve.  Hopefully that will make things up to you.  8)

I've been playing it since Christmas...my life has become like that crazy-ass scene from Being John Malkovich, except that every word out of my mouth is "Persona" instead of "Malkovich".  I joined LJ (for the first time ever!) to participate in fandom stuff.  I need to make and/or acquire some more userpics...  I'll also be posting a monster-length fanfic in the near future.  (Akihiko/Minato, though I'm open to basically any slash pairing.)

I was already a big Atlus fan and I have other Megaten games in my large game collection, but this is the first one I've actually played.  If the others are just as good, I might be on this treadmill forever!  But man, what a way to go...
